 Driving directions:  

From Nanaimo, take Hwy 19 North to Qualicum Beach.  Take exit 60 onto Hwy 4 (Pacific Rim Hwy) to Port Alberni.  As you pass through Port Alberni, take a right at the T-junction to Ucluelet/Tofino.  After about 1 ½ hours you will reach the Pacific Rim Visitors Centre.  Take a right to Tofino.  Follow the Pacific Rim Hwy for about 25min. until you see Sandpiper Place (across from South Chesterman Beach Road), turn right and take your immediate left on Black Bear Lane.  We are at the end of the road on the far left.  926 Black Bear Lane.  Guest parking is onsite.

Travel times to Tofino by car are:

From Nanaimo, 3 hours
From Victoria, 5 hours
From Vancouver, 5 hours (includes Ferry)
From Seattle, 11 hours (includes Ferry)

Additional Information

Check-in: 4:00pm
Check-out: 10am

~Cancellation policy : 30 days prior to your arrival or 1 nights payment is taken, within 2 days full amount of reservation is kept.
~$35 administration fee is applied to all cancellations.
~Cancellation dates are validated with a cancellation email and agreement by owner

~Damage:  Any items missing or damaged will be charged to you upon checkout.

~There are bylaws for noise complaints in Tofino (fines from minimum $500 and up).  You will be responsible for these fines if we receive complaints.

~Not pet friendly sorry.
~Non-smoking property (if you smoke it must be off property)
~Laundry service is available      $10/load (inquire with owner)

    • Hi, I’m inquiring about the Cedar room for one weekend in March for one person. Do you have any availability for two nights? One night would even be better for me if it works out for you that you have one night between guests? My schedule is flexible and I could come over during the week if that is your only time available. Thankyou.

      Yes the Black Bear Suite is available for those dates in May. If you’d like to secure the dates you can call with booking information. We are just away camping so in poor reception but try beginning of the week and I will be available.

    My name is Nicole and we are planning to travel to Vancouver Island this year at the end of July (we are from Australia). We are looking at the cedar room for accommodation in between 25th -31st. We will probably just stay 4 nights though but the above dates are when we are on the island so can be a bit flexible. 

    It would be myself, my partner Jayden and our at the time 18 month old.
